Meet Mia Nakamura

Licensed Tokyo tour guide since 2022, and the person who actually drives these routes. The pages on this site come from the seat of the kart, not a brochure.

Who is Mia?

Mia Nakamura is a licensed, English-speaking Tokyo tour guide who has led go-kart tours for international visitors since 2022. She knows the city's backstreets and landmarks well, and she builds her tours around safety, good photos, and actually having fun.

Since 2022 she has guided more than 1,000 travelers on routes past Akihabara's neon strips, Tokyo Tower, and older neighborhoods most visitors skip. She speaks English and Japanese and works with solo riders, couples, and small groups. That trip-after-trip repetition is why the detail on this site is specific: which slot has the best light, where drivers tense up, what gets people turned away at the desk.

The "1,000+ travelers since 2022" figure is the operator's own record, shared by Mia, and is presented as their number rather than an independent audit.

What Mia writes about, and how she checks it

Mia writes the tour and license pages on this site, and she verifies the rules that matter against official sources as of each publish date. License and International Driving Permit requirements change, so she re-confirms them rather than copying last year's advice.

Her firsthand experience covers the driving itself: the Shibuya Crossing run, the Akihabara electric-town loop, and the quieter electric kart that suits first-timers. Where a detail is the operator's figure rather than her own observation, such as review counts or booking numbers, the page says so and credits the GetYourGuide or Viator listing it came from.
